Production & Quality Control
KTE has targeted to produce around 50 tons of Black Orthodox and Green tea and expects a considerable increase (+100tons) in production by 2010. It also produces tea bags branded as NEPAL ORGANIC TEA BAG which are exported and supplied locally to the renowned hotels and resorts in Nepal.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) plan and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) is being introduced in the factory and packaging facilities in Kathmandu Office for Quality Control and Food Safety Measures. The company has been strictly following Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) rules under WTO. ISO 22000 certification will be in place in 2009.
