Marketing Policy KTE has been making efforts to explore niche market for its eco- friendly products especially to the health and environmentally conscious consumers in the EU, the USA, Canada, Japan and South Korea. Members of World Fair Trade Organization, companies with chain and specialized in specialty tea and marketing Bio- Products with our own identity are given top priority. Since the real taste of KTE's tea is in its freshness, special attention is given to those companies having efficient supply chain for fresh tea supply as far as possible. KTE usually accepts a minimum order of (+ 100 kg) which is delivered by air cargo promptly. However, larger quantities i.e. 4000 +kg & above or a container is usually supplied via Kolkotta port. It has been promoting green tea in Nepal through direct supply system.
KTE produces mainly black and green tea but it can produce exclusive SILVER TIPS, OOLONG and WHITE TEA. Major grades are - SFTGFOP, FTGFOP, TGBOP and GOF-1. All grades are packed in foil laminated sacks. According to the demand of customer our product is also available in Gift packages, in natural handmade paper, reusable fancy purse and wooden box. Tea Bags (Green and Black) packed in 25, 50 and 100 bags are also available in different packets branded as Nepal Organic Tea. KTE also produces flavored Tea [Lemongrass, Ginger, Cardamom and cinnamon (Tejpat)] grown in its own garden area. In addition to delicious flavor, such products have tremendous health benefits. KTE is developing an herbal drink with Himalayan herbs recommended by renowned Tibetan Lama (Amchi)
Shangrila Agro was created out of a need to allow KTE to concentrate fully on quality production. It has been duly certified as a sole marketing division for KTE’s product by NASAA. Shangrila consists of a team of committed, enthusiastic entrepreneurs with decades of export experience behind them. The aim of this marketing team is to promote the sale of organic tea and other organic agro products produced by small farmers in remote areas of Nepal. Simply, SAT strives to bring the backward, inaccessible remote villages of Nepal to the rest of the world thereby giving the developed world a second chance to experience truly organic products from the pristine, virgin soils of Nepal. Preliminary test result of KTE's tea has indicated that the caffeine content is comparatively low and Linalool, Methyllsalcylate a flavoring compound is significantly higher as compared to other tea. Teas experts believe that such character exist due to its unique geographical location and virginity of soil. Due to its unique character, KTE tea has also found its way into the renowned store of Harrods in the United Kingdom.
